At Good Samaritan Health Center, we are committed to providing holistic healthcare services with a focus on enhancing the well-being of our underserved communities. We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Medication Assistant to join our long-term care team. In this role, you will be pivotal in administering daily medication to our patients, monitoring patient reactions, and ensuring compliance with health regulations. Your commitment will directly contribute to the holistic health outcomes of our patients, making a significant impact in their lives.Administering prescribed medications to patients and maintaining related medical records under supervision of the healthcare provider.
Verifying identity of the patient receiving medication and recording name of drug, dosage, and time of administration on specified forms or records.
Observing patients for drug reactions and effects, documenting adverse reactions.
Ensuring security of all medication storage areas and adherence to safety and health protocols.
Communicating with nursing staff and doctors to update on patient conditions and responses to medications.
Participating in interdisciplinary healthcare team meetings and patient care plans.
Profound knowledge of medication types, dosage, and administration methods.
High attention to detail and accuracy in handling and administering medications.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and conduct job responsibilities in accordance with healthcare regulations.
