Here’s what you’ll be doing
Provides direct patient care commensurate with the care team and commensurate with education, training, and/or experience Prepares patients to be seen by the clinician; prepares exam room for appropriate visits; completes intake screenings and age-appropriate exams Educates individuals and families on recommended services and exams that are due across their lifespan Works under the direction of registered nurses and clinician staff Participates in quality improvement projects and initiatives within the medical department Comply with the Health Division policies and procedures applicable to job position Ensures strict confidentiality of health records Provides care in a culturally sensitive manner to the population served What you’ll need to be successful:
Medical assistant certification in Wisconsin, and basic life support certification (BLS) is required Ability to provide care in a practical manner according to training, experience and approved competencies Knowledge of chronic conditions and preventative care for patients across the lifespan Knowledge of applicable federal, state, county and local laws, regulation and requirements Maintains flexibility and willingness to rotate work days to cover patient care during clinic hours Monday through Friday. Experience working with electronic medical record systems Valid Wisconsin driver’s license required; must maintain a valid Wisconsin driver’s license as a condition of employment Must successfully pass all applicable background checks and drug screens FCP complies with all CDC vaccine and testing recommendations for healthcare professionals. Proof of immunizations is required and immunizations/testing provided upon hire.
