Requirements

Requirements:

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree from an accredited institution.
• Board Certification in Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (DACVECC).
• Licensure to practice veterinary medicine in South Carolina (or eligibility for licensure).
• Demonstrated exceptional clinical skills in emergency medicine and critical care.
• Outstanding diagnostic and problem-solving abilities in complex and high-pressure situations.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with clients, referring veterinarians, and colleagues.
• A strong commitment to providing the highest quality and most timely patient care.
• Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as a leader within a fast-paced, collaborative team.
• Proficiency in maintaining meticulous and accurate medical records.
• Exceptional ability to handle highly stressful situations with composure, leadership, and efficiency.

Preferred (considered a plus):

• Experience in a leadership or mentorship role within an emergency and critical care department.
• Proficiency in a wide range of advanced critical care procedures and techniques.
• Experience with electronic medical record systems.
• A strong interest in contributing to clinical research and the advancement of veterinary critical care.
