Job Description

General Summary of Duties: Oversees the direction of business operations of the Rural Health Clinics & Specialty Clinics to include: Sulpher Springs Medical Center, Sunsites Medical Center and NCCH Specialty Clinic. Coordinates services provided by licensed medical providers at clinics located in the Willcox and Sunsites communities. Ensures that medical services are delivered to patients in a cost-effective and efficient manner. Responsible for ensuring the rural healthcare clinics are in compliance with goals, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements of the department. In coordination with NCCH Administrators and CEO, accountable for the overall financial health and stability of the Rural Clinics and Specialty Clinic. Maintains departmental Survey Readiness for State and Federal licensure surveys or inspections (i.e. AZ Hospital regulations; AZ Nursing Care Institution regulations; Critical Access Hospital federal regulations; Rural Health Clinics federal regulations). Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.

  • Reports to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) or designated administrator.
  • Successful Candidate MUST have Proof of COVID Vaccination prior to date of hire as an employment requirement.


Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of rural health clinic, advanced nursing care and practice management.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite and Customer Services Concepts.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership ability and managerial competency. Evidence of this includes, but is not limited to, effective written and verbal communication skills, ability to deal well with people, ability to problem solve, ability to confront/resolve issues, ability to motivate others, ability to plan, organize, and direct the activities of others.
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team, in a fast-paced production-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedule when circumstances necessitate.
  • Demostrated ability to motivate direct reports to support and maintain a culture of safety, quality and positive patient experience.
  • Establish and maintain solid working relationships through communication, cooperation, and positive interactions with all patients/clients, employees, staff, providers, and vendors.

Job Requirements
Education and/or Experience:

Bachelorā€™s degree. or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.

Previous Practice Management experience working with multiple providers preferred.

Minimum 3 years managerial experience required. Must have experience working directly with physicians, patients, and external entities.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Certified Rural Health Clinic Professional (CRHCP) and/or Current, unrestricted, Arizona Registered Nurse License, preferred.
