Certified Medical Assistant
Position Overview:
As a Medical Assistant for Mobile Physician Services, you are a vital link between our mobile providers and patients. The Medical Assistant oversees key administrative and organizational processes to ensure efficient operations of Mobile Physician Services. Our Medical Assistants provide support to doctors, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and patients through patient care management. This includes exemplary organization and communication resulting in completion of duties in a high quality and timely manner.
Responsibilities:

Act as a liaison between providers, patients, pharmacies, hospitals.

Provide coordinated care with healthcare professionals and nonclinical staff.

Triage and medical record management.

Verify patient information by communicating with patients and caregivers.

Review medical history and provide additional detail as needed.

Obtain Laboratory results and document information in a patient's medical record.

Coordinate urgent and / or same-day patient visits.

Work closely with the Scheduling team.

Respond to patient and caregiver questions in a timely manner.

Transmit prescription refills as directed.

Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment.

Ensure compliance with health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.

Job Requirements
Required Skills:

Medical Assistant Certification; CCMA or RMA through national certifying organization.

2+ years experience working in the Medical Assistant field.

Knowledge and understanding of patient care, medical terminology, and clinical pharmacology.

Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.

Advanced verbal and written skills displayed through both customer service and professional environments.

Prior Patient Care Management experience.

Prior experience utilizing an electronic medical record system.

Preferred Skills:

Previous experience utilizing eClinicalWorks.

Bilingual English/Spanish.
