Family Nurse Practitioner

JFCS is searching for a Nurse Practitioner for our West Valley and Glendale Integrated Clinics to work under the supervision of a Board Certified and licensed MD in the State of Arizona.

Duties include the following:

• Performing physical exams and conducting patient observations
• Recording patient medical histories and symptoms
• Creating patient care plans and contributing to existing medical plans
• Ordering, administering and analyzing diagnostic tests
• Monitoring and operating medical equipment
• Diagnosing health issues
• Administering medicine and other health treatments
• Detecting changes in patient health and modifying treatment plans
• Providing training to Medical Assistants on lab draws, vaccinations and other injections
• Oversight of the clinics laboratory standards and CLIA license
• Consulting with healthcare professionals and families
• Consulting and training patients and their families how to manage and prevent illness

Qualifications include:

• Master’s degree from an accredited nursing program
• RN licensure in the state employed or a compact party state and board certified by either ANCC or AANP
• APN authorization in the state employed to practice in family health by the Board of Nursing Examiners
• Prescriptive authorization
• Experience providing primary care as a family nurse practitioner
• Proficiency with medical instruments and equipment required to fully function in primary care
• Knowledge of medical records systems, data management programs, information systems as well as medical records and point of interview technology with electronic medical records programs
• Foundational understanding of OSHA, federal and state regulations
• Excellent verbal and communications skills
• Knowledge of disease prevention
