Carolina HealthSpan Institute is a busy growing healthcare practice that combines the latest advances and techniques in Integrative and Regenerative medicine, Sexual health & wellness, and Aesthetic treatments. Our aim is to provide patients with top-of-the-line multi-functional medicine care. We are seeking out a FUN, detail-oriented, organized, compassionate Certified Medical Assistant or CNAII to facilitate and enhance the optimal healthcare experience for our patients. Employee must be professional, enthusiastic, and resourceful with patient relations and customer service. We are looking for someone with ability to establish priorities and meet challenges head-on. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals and staff members so team spirit, positive attitude, problem-solving skills, and communication ability are a must. Phlebotomy experience is also a plus!

Job Requirements

Take vitals and document findings in the patient chart
Organize, authorize, and schedule appointments
Enter laboratory services
Send prescriptions electronically or by fax. Verbally call-in prescriptions
Administer injections, perform other lab tests
Assist during medical procedures
Triage patient calls, assess the problem, consult with the physician
Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
Proven working experience as a medical assistant
Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
Social perceptiveness and service oriented
Punctual and self-disciplined
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and planning skills

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Answering incoming calls for clinic staff
Checking voicemails left by patients.
Assisting providers with medical procedures
Measure and record vital signs
Taking patients back to the exam room
Administer injections/teach patients how to administer medications
Wash and sterilize medical instruments
Preparing instruments for the upcoming day
Refill prescriptions
Medical supply inventory/Order medical supplies
Making sure patients have all signed consents for medical procedures signed
Call patient to update lab results
Follow up with patients who have received medical procedures in office
Prepare LabCorp Orders
Making sure biohazard waste is picked up
Perform blood draws and other specialty lab tests
