· Greets patients and assists with patient flow;
· Assists with preparatory activities such as taking and documenting vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, height and weight, and communicates abnormalities to physician or practitioner;
· Assists physicians and/or practitioners with patient care including minor surgical procedures and/or general medical procedures;
· Reviews and documents patient medical history, assists with ensuring encounter forms are complete;
· Collects and prepares lab specimens;
· Electronically submit prescriptions/refills to pharmacies as directed;
· Prepares patient rooms, cleans/sterilizes instruments;
· Answer patient/pharmacy calls, take messages for physicians, relay lab/test results and instructions to patients as directed, relay hospital consult information to physicians, and other administrative duties as assigned;
· MU2/PQRS reporting as instructed;
· Follow all health care privacy and safety rules and adheres to Dayton Physicians Core Values;
· Other duties as assigned.
