Our primary care office in Smithtown which is part of St. Catherine’s (Catholic Health Physician Partners) is looking for a Full-time medical assistant. MUST BE CERTIFIED AND BE ABLE TO WORK A OCCASIONAL SATURDAY. The Medical Assistant is assigned duties and responsibilities related to patient care in a team-based care and integrative health environment.

Responsibilities:

Handling physician correspondence
Preparing patient charts for visits
Assisting patients with various needs when not providing direct patient care clinical support.
Helping physicians with procedures.
Conducts EKGS, medical chart review and preparation, Vital Signs preparation of exam rooms
Requirements:

Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program required
Medical Assistant Certification preferred
BCLS training and current certification required
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum of two years' experience as MA in a physician practice or ambulatory environment preferred
