Qualified candidates should be able to demonstrate excellent verbal communication skills, critical thinking, and initiative. Must be detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and organize workflow. Must have basic key board skills and know basic arithmetic. Must be able to handle busy or stressful situations in a professional, customer service focused manner. Excellent computer skills are a must.
Ambulatory health care, research, and oncology experience preferred. Minimum of one year medical assistant experience preferred. Graduation from an approved Medical Assistant program. Certification by the American Association of Medical Assistants or Registration by the American Society of Medical Technologists or NHA CCMA (Certified Clinical Medical Assistant). Current BLS certification required.
