Then join us! 99 Healthcare Management is seeking a back office Medical Assistant for Addison Internal Medicine located in Addison, Texas. Duties include accompanying patients to exam/procedure room, collecting patient history, taking vitals, administering injections and immunizations, assisting with procedures, prescription refills, and patient call backs.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. No weekends or after hours.

Responsibilities 

 

  • Interview patients and document basic medical history
  • Update and file medical records
  • Arrange hospital admissions and laboratory services
  • Check with patients and type up patients charts
  • Assist during medical examinations
  • Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
  • Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments

 

Education and Experience

 

  • Proven working experience as a medical assistant in an internal medicine enviornment
  • Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Social perceptiveness and service oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Completed Accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • EMR experience also required; E-Clinical Works preferred
  • NCT preferred but not required
