In this national service position, you will get paid to serve in a direct patient care role while receiving on the job training. Gain hands-on experience in healthcare, while receiving professional development, career coaching, and a robust benefits package including:
A living allowance of $1,279 distributed every 2 weeks
PLUS: All CHC members receive a housing stipend - equal to 75% of the fair market value of a 1 bedroom in the assigned healthcare facility’s county
PLUS: CHC members who need it can request a childcare stipend of $300 per child/month under the age of 13 (up to 3 children)
Full health insurance (medical, dental, vision, and access to mental health support)
An education award at the end of service of $3,172.50 to repay student loans or for future education expenses
We have positions available at healthcare sites across the state, so you can serve and start a new career in your community. Some sites may require specific certifications such as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Qualified Medication Administration Personnel (QMAP) and Medical Assistant (MA), while others are recruiting people without any specific healthcare certifications or experience. All sites offer on-the-job training and we have opportunities for eligible members to earn a FREE healthcare certifications (BLS, QMAP, CNA) while serving their community and earning competitive benefits. Additional information on site-specific requirements will be discussed during the interview process. Positions will be filled on a rolling basis, with preference given to early applicants.
Many sites have a high need for individuals who speak Spanish, so bi-lingual Spanish is a plus!
